I prefer the balanced look of the one I got versus the one you posted. More balanced. Also I tried the flip dot. Great concept. Terrible execution. Crappy dot, great idea.

Figured out what I did. Tried to clear a malfunction, not really a malf ( low gas) without dropping the mag.
The gun was doing what it's supposed to, sent the 2nd rd to the barrel, tip jammed in feed ramp because there was a empty still in it. After cranking the gas up no further issues. I'm theorizing that the bolt went back far enough to try to load but not far enough to kick the round out. ( long stroke). It was just a low gas issue nothing else.
    * on another note, the op rod will tell you everything that is going on inside.
Also after just 50 rds I could tell when the bolt locked back, empty.

What does the op rod tell you?
And why did you have the gas so low?
I thought you mentioned setting the gas.
    Was it the same ammo?

The gas is turned up now. Running great. The end of the op rod will show, closed chamber( all the way forward), fouled chamber(half way or so) and locked open.(all the way to the rear) was going to paint the tip of it red, don't think I'll need to.
Previous owner shot it suppressed only is why the gas was set low.

Might be better to use the 20rd mags in this. Just thinking out loud. What yall think? I need to try the old gi 20 rd ones. I wonder why all the new 20rd mags are canted and the old ones are straight?

I prefer the old 20's ergonomics too. And that I can load all 20 without feeling like I'm having to push hard. The old 20's definitely would be better for that in the shoulder

The red dot is crap. I sent the first unit back because the dot was more like a comma. Replacement unit was the same. The glass is kinda shitty. But it was like $+100. So I shouldn't have expected so much. But it zooms in well enough. And it performs within its price range
Have you had your eyes checked for astigmatism? Its common for people with this to see blurry red dots.

I love mine for what it is I just wish the top could pop off of the receiver like an ak dust cover to quickly and clear malfunctions. If it had that capability I’d run it way more often has Hera cqr fore grip on mine gives me like a p90 feel

That's a cool grip. Never seen that before. Leave it to the Germans to make something look good
