There were some bullets there as well. 30cal and 6.5mm variants. I wouldn’t say it’s catching up because they are producing a ton of what they want to and not everything. There were no 6.5G or 6.5C 270 300blk 6.8 243 30-30 20ga 12ga anything but birdshot. I’d say those and a few others should be in the pool of normalcy and until they are stocked we are still no ok.

I had to take my wife in for a colonoscopy on Mon morning and they would not allow me to wait inside. So, I went to Academy to kill some time. They had some .270, 6.5 Creedmore, .38Spl, and a bunch of 12ga. All of their 12ga was either 71/2 or 8 number shot. Actually, they had a lot of .223 and 556

With dove season coming up, might be good to grab some shells when you see them.

Academy in Foley last night had tons of 223,12gauge trap and dove 7 and 8, cci WMV 22lr, Blazer 9mm in aluminum, few boxes of 45 and 38spl. Sorry I was in a bit of a hurry with wife waiting in car to get prices

Well I guess going to Academy in the mornings is done for me. I've dropped by at opening a few times in the last month. I'd like to find a bit more .32 acp or .44 but not going to pay HIGH prices for it. I don't really target shoot but twice a year now so no big deal.

A good selection of ammo this morning. Lot's of .22 and 9mm. The shelf is about to topple off with .223. Prices are near double what they were about a year ago so I guess my stock is set for a while.

FYI Lot's of .22 at 10 cents to 12 cents a round. A good bit of 9mm at 18 38 cents a round. Even some 44 magnum today at near a dollar a round.

Most of the 223/556 was around $.60 when I was there for plain ball ammo. The other stuff more expensive obviously. At least we have gone away from $1.00 a round. These prices should keep scalpers away and slowly the market will come down. I am thinking $.50 a round might be new normal for 223/556 for a while.

It will definitely help with the scalpers. That and the box limit. When the shelves fill up and manufacturing passes demand, we'll see prices drop.
