Ok, just got a chance to sit down. 7-8+ point depending how you count. #150 lbs dead weight. Very nice deer for our camp styx river, Stapleton area. 80 yards from a tripod. 120gr win PDX rd. x39 out of the Rarr. Jumped about 14 feet and dropped dead. No exit wound, massive internal damage. Love that big "whoomp" sound when they drop. This is my biggest buck to date. Totally stoked!!

Way to go! Ruger RARR will get it done. Don't underestimate what that cartridge will do. A 5-6 pound 30 caliber little recoil deer slayer. JMHO lol.

My enjoyment over this was short lived. Apparently mine is the largest harvested this year so far.
Damm fudds at camp are all pissy over this. My toy rifle, it was on my cam, you shot it from my tripod. ( had permission) etc, etc..
I'm happy when one of the guys get a good one. Same crap as last year when I dropped one in its tracks with the 10mm TNW AERO carbine. I even let 3 other 6pts walk last year so someone might have a chance. My sil got 1 of them ( with my new ruger, lol), was I mad, hell no. I was thrilled. Her 1st in 26 years, her and my bride were hopping around like kids. Vent over

No loser, likes a winner. I almost never show or tell about the bucks I kill , for just that reason.
    Good job RR! Congratulations !

Definitely one of the down sides of being in a club. Find a couple hundred acres for yourself to lease. Keep it to family and there you go. Or as the above said Keep what you shoot to yourself. I was in a club years ago close to our land we lease. Just to much nonsense.

Got a 6pt today!! BCA AR, MSR, 350 legend. 180gr win sp. 40 yard shot. He was moving so shot was a bit further aft than I like. Still died quick. Not real good at shooting when they are moving.
Ran about 30 yards into a giant flesh ripping briar patch. Then plop. A spike that was on the plot when i shot looped back in about 10 mins after I zapped his buddy, dang dopey deer. So I waited about 30 mins before I went and got him out.
Exit wound, made a damm mess inside.

That 350 legend with the wright bullet can make a marginal shot into a lethal one. For a light recoil cartridge so far I've been happy with its performance, my son has adopted it as his gun. Excellent for kids, recoil sensitive or shorter range shots.
