i see that now. strange, it was on the front page of the hotair.com site. since it was there i assumed there was new information in the article and that it was up to date. then after you alerted me to it being an old article i went back on hotair and it was gone. sorry about that.

I wish i could share a podcast i saw. Tom Walsh maybe? Corporate doesnt care about the right. We cry a little and they never apologize. I read that it was a Harvard graduated woman marketing type that made the decision. Saw some pics of her during her college days and she is drinking beer and blowing up condoms at a party. It's a good thing she repented and discarded her "evil" ways!

Can’t find the article I was reading about this but basically it is above the boardrooms at Blackrock and Vanguard where the decisions are made and if you go against them they get your capital shut off or you start having delivery issues etc. As you say obviously not a business decision but part of a larger agenda.

Most times the person in charge is not the smartest person in the room. I saw it time and time again when I was in the corporate world. Dumb decisions and nobody would call them on it.
The Budweiser decision was the dumbest marketing decision I can remember since the “New Coke” fiasco in the mid ‘80s.
Pepsi gave their employees a celebratory day off for that one.
Budweiser is having to buy back their beer from distributors because it’s going stale on the shelves. They plan to start a new “All American” campaign featuring sports, camping etc.
Too late for me, they’ve shown their true colors.
I’ve got a good friend who has drunk Budweiser exclusively for over 40 years.
He’s found that he likes Miller and Dos Equis just fine.
