I am not ashamed to admit I screamed and cursed at the pool drill instructor in the first person in front of everybody, after he tried to drown me by hitting me in the head with a pool float when I came up for air off the high dive. He deserved it, and it felt good. It got me tossed from Advanced Swimmer swim qual. It was worth it
He was like "that hurt, didn't it?! " and it was then I realized my kevlar was on the bottom of the pool. I got in more trouble for surfacing without my kevlar than verbally assaulting a drill instructor! Everybody understood and laughed it off... and it was then and there that I realized that not every Marine was a prick
