Slammed a 90lb doe yesterday about sunset. She was feeding on one of our food plots with four other deer. She was standing broadside at 110yds when the 85gr Barnes TSX hit her just below the shoulder. It exited the far side taking two sections of ribs with it and leaving a 2.5 inch exit hole. She staggered sideways and managed to make it 15yds or so. She fell lifeless. The top 1/3 of her heart and both lungs were mush.
For any of you 6.8SPC shooters out there,I feel that this lightweight bullet is all you will ever need for deer and even the larger hogs. I have killed hogs with this loading before but this is my first deer since the build.
Good luck to everyone this season. --- SAWMAN
