Haha it hasn't ever done anything out of the ordinary. So if it does than I'll decide if I want to keep it or send it in

I have seen some disconnector issues similar to this before. The rifles would fire and the right before trigger reset they would fire again. I think there is a pretty heavy fine for a rifle that does that...only a $6.00 fix

The "doubleing" is initiated when the trigger is released. As long as it is held to the rear it will not double.
This is quite easily intentionally or unintentionally machined into the FCG of any AR.
I have done this by mistake and quickly trashed the effected parts.
I did this waaaay back when I first started doing my own triggers. I quickly learned that there is an EXTREMELY fine line between the work coming out good, and trashing some parts. Hammer, trigger, and disconnector comes to mind.
Lets all stay safe and legal out there. --- SAWMAN

This just means it's time for a new trigger. Like the POF AND TIMNEY didn't see any triggers at the gun show which was a shame.

Would a trigger like that make one,a trigger rigger? I believe the lawful answer is to stop using the rifle Immediately and repair it before using it again.

Well if I send it in all they would do is swap the FCG out for a new one.

Yeah . . . for several years I had an "inside" to Bushmaster Firearms, just after they dropped the Quality Parts part of their name/logo and moved to Windham,Me.
Back then, you could bring your AR into the store and hand it to the guy at the counter to be worked on. They actually had a waiting area if it was as quick fix,or would give you a pick-up ticket if you had to leave it with them.
"Problem" was - - -> if your gun had any full auto/Class lll parts in it,they were confiscated and replaced with new non full auto parts. You could complain all you wanted but you would never see your parts again.
At one point I got a peek at their full auto/3 shot burst, confiscated parts box. IIRC,there was about half of a 5gal painters bucket full.
Them was the good old days. --- SAWMAN

Actually there is a commercial trigger group that is designed to fire once on the pull and once on the release. If you dont want the second shot, move safety to Safe position then release trigger. As long as no more then one round fires per "pull" of the trigger it legal (they say).

The two shot trigger group (4 Mfgs) is not something I desire but if I did, I would pay for a Mfg unit AND go under their legal production umbrella instead of a DIY with the potential to have to defend it in Court. IMHO
