Better to flick the safety off an AR-15 and have 30 on tap, honestly...
Sure, can debate that all day, erry day, and that's why I have both readily available. Question was about shotties, though.

It's all mechanical and can all go to hell in a handbasket at the worst time.Well, ARs never jam so why not?
Totally forgot about them, they have some good models.FN gets my vote.
And people short stroke pumps as well. It's all mechanical and can all go to hell in a handbasket at the worst time.
$1200 at most from what I've seen. What do the 1301 tactical or Benelli m2’s go for locally? Anyone looked lately?

The 1301 could be better than a M4?We don't know because it has not been around long enough.I have not any malfunctions shooting any shells. The Lack of accessories is frustrating but as far as operating mine has been perfect so far.I got an m4 and 1301.1301 is lighter. So for a minute, I've been thinking about getting a semi-automatic shotgun for home/self defense.
I had a Mossberg SA-20 Tactical, felt a bit good operating it, however it had some issues where the spent shells wouldn't eject, ended up selling it. I get really bad vibes from guns that jam.
With that in mind, excluding the Benelli M4, what would y'all say are some semi-auto's I should consider for a serious role?
I got mine at Jay's in PC and it was $1499.I honestly don't see (or notice) the 1301's too often... but I know Jay's over in crestview usually always has the benelli m4 variants @2-2.1k.... but they strike me as something that's gonna go for MSRP on average.
Is that OTD. Because if it's not your getting closer and closer to $2K with taxes and transfer.I got mine at Jay's in PC and it was $1499.
No. They closed a couple years ago or so. The name is still on the canopy of the building though.Does Jay's still have their Pensacola location?
I think one of their dude's at a recent P.C. gun show told me they closed it down because they couldn't get employees to show up reliably (lol, as crazy as that sounds).
Nope. Been closed for over 2 years now. I used to live directly behind the store and I was in there daily. I miss the place. The gunsmith there, Phil, runs Jay's Range in Baker now if anybody wants to stop by, rent a machine gun and hang outDoes Jay's still have their Pensacola location?
