I might be buying a Beretta CX4, but I'm trying to figure out what kind of magazines it uses. Some CX4's were made with the 92 magazine adapter and some were made with the PX4 magazine adapter.

Here are some pictures of one of the magazines that this particular CX4 comes with:

I think they're 92 magazines because they look identical to these: http://www.brownells.com/magazines/handgun-magazines/magazines/mag-m92fs-9mm-10-round-prod40547.aspx?avs|Manufacturer_1=BERETTA%20USA, and http://www.midwayusa.com/product/547125/beretta-magazine-beretta-92-cx4-storm-with-92-96-series-magazine-well-9mm-luger-10-round-steel-blue, I just want to know for sure before I buy it.

I got my 92fs on me and those look exacty like the ones I have here. I have a few of the 10 rd ones but most are 15 or 17 but loo the same. If the mag lock was wider I would say pt92 but for sure 92fs.

Thanks! That's what I was hoping to hear!

Do you have any experience with the Beretta 20- or 30-rounders? I would love to get some, but I haven't researched their reliability yet.

Thanks for the info. I actually just ordered a 30-rounder yesterday, so we'll see how it runs when I get it.

I have mixed feelings about the 30 rounder. The 20 fits flush but the thirty seems to stick out 4" out the grip. No good for anything IMO. 20 rounds in any pistol is a lot of lead to throw and still be able to hulster it.

The CX4 is a carbine, not a pistol, so no need to worry about holstering it. The 17-rounders fit flush, but even the 20-rounders stick out a little from the bottom of the magwell. They were the all about the same price, so I went with the 30's.
