My spouse is having a procedure done at Baptist Hospital. I took my I-Pad to browse while I waited. Tried to call up GCGF. Got a Baptist message that they don't allow weapons sites; it's against their policy. Well, since they are providing WiFi for their guests, they can do whatever, but it was a surprise to me. BTW, they don't do a real great job of blocking if the word "GUN" isn't part of the website link, so I just went to other firearms sites while I waited.

Tell them your a gun owner.

Maybe they won't want your "tainted" money and you'll get a free procedure.

They may be providing the Wi-Fi but it's not for free.

Yeah I was there the other day waiting for someone and tried to look at Hoyt's website... It wouldn't let me. Said weapons were prohibited...Funny thing was I had been searching on archerytalk for an hour before that.

It's probably because looking at extreme websites such as this one would put crazy ideas into your head and you might go on a shooting spree. Yeh, that's it.

There you go with that foolish "logical thinking" again!

When I stayed at the Bay Point Marriott in Panama City beach, they did the same. I was less than pleased... Especially since part of the reason I was there was to meet with someone for an exchange! Whats this world coming to when places place restrictions on gun websites... I bet you can look up porn though :)

I spent a good deal of Saturday afternoon and evening at the Baptist hospital ER. Reason I was there was because of stupid, irresponsible texting while driving idiots but that's another whole subject.

Anyway, I spent a lot of time just outside the entrance door with my DIL's mom, sister and my wife. No one wanted to go sit inside with the usual pack of low lifes and O voters.

In broad daylight we had several people try to approach us asking for smokes, money or whatever. I assume a couple thought they could get in close enough to infringe on us in other ways. I was able to intimidate all of them so that they stayed a comfortable distance away. Of course , the whole time (hours) I was there I had my hand in my pocket holding my CCW. There was a Deputy Sheriff a few feet away and at least three hired security guards within a short distance the whole time. All of them kept a pretty close eye on my group. As it got dark the women went inside but I stayed out there, close to the door, under the lighting and within sight of the guards. At one point one of the security guards came out and started a conversation. It went to guns eventually and CC came up. It was apparent to me that he knew full well I was carrying. He seemed to show approval.

Point? I'm sure the anti 2A administration has no problem with paying for guards to protect their investment, staff and income flow. Typical.
