If you ever wanted to see the dif between .223 and 5.56, this makes it really apparent!

I guess your saying it does not function well with one type of ammo?

SAMMI says .223 will work in .556 chambers. On the other hand .556 is not recommended for use in .223 chambers.

I figure he's talking about the flame coming out of the end of the barrel or the recoil difference is more noticeable

its listed as 556 so should be able to shoot either safely.

Correct it shoots both. And yes it makes bigger boom with 5.56!! First round I was like whoa!! Then I started giggling......
