I have a 1919 Cart Gustaf M96 Swedish Mauser chambered in 35 Whelen with a Bold aftermarket trigger. I installed a new Bell & Carlson Medalist stock ($380+) with full aluminum bedding block and rear pillar (link), free floated the barrel, had a custom picatinny 0MOA rail built out of stainless steel by Murphy Precision (paid $165), extra high Burris mounts (so that the bolt just barely clears), and a new Vortex Crossfire II 3-9x50 illuminated scope (paid $200). The barrel is 18" long and was made by CR Pedersen & Son. The twist appears to be 1 in 14" and it apparently likes Federal 225gr Trophy Bonded Bear Claw ammo. The extractor does not seem to like Federal regular brass for some reason but likes everything else that I have tried at random. Local pick up, no felons, and CCW preferred. How is it at 250 yds?

at 300 yards, it is still clipping along at 2001 fps, with 1778 foot pounds of force...-8.6 inches of drop

@fl57caveman - Thanks for the info

@trogers - I fired it initially at 100 yards to sight it in using my buddies factory ammo hence how I know that it likes the 225gr TBBC ammo. I haven't shot it since and don't have any ammo for it so I never bothered taking it to the range to try out at 200 yards when I have gone for the other rifles.

Looking for possibly a multi-gun trade if possible atm. I want to give my kids some home defense presents this x-mas. Anybody got a decent shotgun and/or handgun for trade ?
