My 2cents, I use Colt, CMC, Tripp. My 3x Springfield 1911’s love SA mags(7rd) made by Metalform I believe. One of my SA is very finicky with Wilson mags- extracting issues and last round not locking slide open. Wilson mags plastic base plate seems weak to me.I would only buy their top of the line mags if you plan on serious work

I have about 9 different 1911's and it really just depends on the gun. I have magazines from several different companies and different guns like different mags. That said the ones that work the best in the most guns are the McCormick's and Springfields. I shoot the 8 round flush fit mags in my competition guns and those two mag makers are what work the best. Find a buddy who has some different mags than you have and see what works best. Keep them clean and protect the feed lips to keep them running.

Wilson, chip Mccormick, ACT, and mec gar. If you ever get feeding issues try sigs 1911 mags. They hold the round at a sharper angle to help feed better.

I like the ones with non tilt followers like Wilson and Mec-Gar make. I've never had the original type follower not perform exactly as designed but the non tilt make sense to me.

Regardless of the brand wilson kimber etc I've had problems with the 8 rd mags. Never a problem with the 7 rd mags especially Mec Gar excellent mags.

The Mec Gar 8 rounders are the ones my Smith E Series prefers. Funny it does not like 7 or 10 rounders.
