Well Known Nuisance
Got the slide. I think I have all the parts lined up. Thanks to Kduly for the final parts and sight tool loan! Gen 5 style rmr slide. Hard to see but it does have the 2 posts at the front of the cutout.
Nice, like the angle cut on the frontGood luck with the build! Just finished mine. My wife calls it a Glonk
Has a little added length for the compNice, like the angle cut on the front
So the gas from the end of the barrel goes thru it? How's it work??Has a little added length for the comp
Yup! Barrel ends right below the sight. Captures some gas and sends it up. Hoping to get to the range soon to see if it really does anything of if it's just a gimmick. So the gas from the end of the barrel goes thru it? How's it work??
Or... on a threaded barrel...Yup! Barrel ends right below the sight. Captures some gas and sends it up. Hoping to get to the range soon to see if it really does anything of if it's just a gimmick.
Edit: if it *does* work, be super cool to see an integrated comp on a 26 size slide!
I'll be honest, don't know a lot about pistol comps. I do understand that lighter bullets won't really feel different. Higher grain projectiles have a more dramatic compensating effect. From my reading, if you don't have to change the factory recoil spring.( lighter) It's not doing anything... I could be mistaken I'm new to comps.
Yep, a mystery to me too. Gonna put it on the factory slide with the #14 spring for testing and see what's up before adding it to the build.I'll be honest, don't know a lot about pistol comps. I will! Still don't know if I'm gonna go full boat and put the comp on the new slide. Might, can always take it off if too cumbersome. With the extra parts can go subcompact to full size if I want. Kinda cool.Post a pic when you're done.
