    They can't make decisions.
1st it was you must destroy these mass murdering stocks......then it was just simply remove to comply.....on video with congress. Now it's constructive possession again. Must destroy. Video I watched the ATF director couldn't even answer questions to the ruling they made up!
That guy was so bad he even bombed on the Democrat questions.

As of now, if you don't already have a registered SBR, your best bet is to pull the barrel on your shortie and store it at another location and then wait and see how this plays out. I just don't see a better option that doesn't risk going to jail.

My first to my last, 23,500 submitted in between in a period of 3 days. Simple math says if that number is consistent, only 940,000 "registered". A lot less than 40 million.

That’s about many expected with the number well under 1m. It will go away like the bump stocks that were not turned in either.

Put a cable lock thru the ejection port so that if it does get confiscated nobody can lay it down next to a lower in any evidence pictures and so claim your intent. Burden of proof that you weren't intending jack squat is on you, after they've already taken it

It's just like the other "registration" scams done in blue states. Like the AR registration and " high cap" mag registration.

I took my brace off per the ATF Director’s instructions and stored it off premises. If I need to go get it and destroy it I will, mainly because I never liked it anyway.

The info I have seen estimated 500k-1m bump stocks vs 20m braces. Although I personally believe based on additional data the number of braces may be well over 20m.

I’m only aware of one attempted bump stock prosecution. I believe it was a man in Houston in 2019 that eventually led to the ban being overturned.

Lucky for me I am in compliance, all or my class III weapons and suppressors are on paper with uncle daddy… I fortunately got rid of the two breed weapons that were not a month or so back. I however have friends that have spent thousands on “illegal” braced weapons. I think it’s bullshit they can allow sales for several years on anything and just jerk the rug out from under what would be law abiding citizens, then force them to destroy yearly income worth of items because they decided to outlaw them. They should at the minimum be forced to do a buy back @ 50% over cost IMHO.

For the above stated reason this will never work. If you are like other folks I know that have invested thousands in braces and shorter barrels I would advise to pull them apart and sit tight. logically looking at it they’re don’t have the time, resources, let alone the funding to prosecute anyone for having a braced lower receiver, or a short barreled upper. I worked on the ATF task force for a number of years. Their logic on building an SBR AR-15 was “You can build a complete upper, and a complete lower. The only time you are being non-compliant is if you marry the upper to the lower and depress the two pins before your paperwork is in hand.

99.9% of ATF’s arrest coincide with other charges. Matter of fact I have never seen a regular citizen arrested for a NFA violation alone. Again they don’t have the time, or MONEY to chase every violation out there. Rob a bank, shoot someone unlawfully with a shorty then you will get their attention. A couple guys target shooting at their home firing range has no worries…

I'll have to disagree on complete uppers and complete lowers from what I've read over the years about constructive intent/possession.

Why? Just replace the brace with a tube. Let a friend that doesn't have an AR keep it for you.
    Done deal.

The conversation needs to shift from "how to bend over and comply" to "how do we fight or support whose who fight this infringement on our God given rights." Local level petitions, gun shops collecting signatures, information to contact state and federal elected officials. Some kind of forum meet and greet. Funding legal battles. Etc.
    Something more organized.....
