Report back on it.Jumped on the Bereli deal—AUG A3M1 standard black +3 mags (4 mags total) $1499
Went Aero Ultalight. Highly recommend. Great quality and extremely light weight.I’d like to use a Burris 4x20 short mag scope (picked up from member here) on the AUG until I decide on a dedicated optic. What mount/rings should I look into? Ability to mount an RMR on top might be pretty handy too.
No performance report yet. The machining is excellent. The layout and ergos are very intuitive. The forethought in design and materials is incredible. How's it doing? Report!
Tks. What's the twist on the barrel?? 1:7?No performance report yet. The machining is excellent. The layout and ergos are very intuitive. The forethought in design and materials is incredible.
The trigger is very heavy—maybe 10-12lbs, but only has ~1/16” take up before a somewhat crisp break, with hardly no overtravel. Reset is ~3/16”. Maybe this one is an outlier? I’m used to AK military triggers and this is perfectly serviceable.
So far, so good. Looking forward to some range time and testing. Need to get a smorgasbord of ammo for accuracy and reliability trials.
I am truly in awe this design was released in 1977.
There are no markings on the barrel or elsewhere. All my research indicates modern A3M1s have a 1:9 twistTks. What's the twist on the barrel?? 1:7?
If the lines, heritage, and pedigree of the AUG weren’t as such, I would be looking hard at the VHS-2 (refuse to call it the H*llion). It is truly ambi.I would have liked one of these, but am left handed and the conversion kit is +300 IF you can get one. Went with the RDB, no regrets.
The ATF’s brace ruling was the deciding factor (read: excuse) for me. Always wanted one.I've come sooooooo close to buying an AUG many, many, many times. I'm sure I'd love one for the cool factor & because they are such finely made firearms, way ahead of their times. In the end I always don't due to practicality and not wanting another $2-3K project (weapon, optic, accessories, mags, etc) since I am an AR guy and have plenty of those to get by.

Is that what they are using in the Ukraine?? (SF)The VHS is an absolute laser and a joy to shoot. Would highly recommend.

Yeah, there's a video series on the weird guns of the Ukraine. Ww1,ww2, everything, etc weapons are showing up. Saw a quad maxim setup.I've seen a few pictures of them using them, yeah - some F2000s out there as well. A buncha stuff really.
