Plus, this way, they have yet to "fire the first shot"... it's still just a "cold war", especially since that jet fuel was probably very cold! : )
An engine ingesting fuel like that could cause it to fail/flame out. I think that is what they were trying to do. Incompetent pilot got too close and hit it.

Yep! Unless it's the beginning like with Lexingtons "shot heard around the world" but this time it starts with the "golden shower felt around the world"

"found" and "damaged" and "had to be sunk" implies we already located it, it was floating and it got sunk after the fact

I dunno. Just watched the video again and thier own video kinda says that the US fudged or lied about the propeller being damaged. It clearly shows it still spinning and intact after the fact. I wonder too how much fuel was dropped, and if was in a spray form or just a pure massive dump in liquid form. If so, ive seen water dropped out of a front end loader onto a car under it and it will crush the car like a pancake. So I wonder if a ton or so of fluid dropped, while moving a few hundred miles per hour would be the equivalent of hitting a concrete wall perhaps. At first I thought it was to be funny and blur the camera lense. I now wonder if that act alone downed the drone. If so they likely have done this many times and is now a tactic they use. That or that pilot had the idea and did it on the fly. If so I kinda think its brilliant

Yep... not sure how trying to come as close as you can... and succeeding... can be called "incompetence". When I think of "pilot incompetence", I picture something more like this:

    Or this:

Note that both the Russian pilot and the P-63(?) pilot in Dallas both approached another aircraft belly-first. Only the Russian lived to tell about it.

P.S., if you look at the last few seconds on the "drone hit" vid, you will see the bent prop. They must've made more than one pass, but I have to wonder how you could hit the prop, but not the rear stabilizers, which appear to protrude much more. Maybe the prop did get bent by hitting a large quantity of liquid fuel?

Russia doesn't even have aircraft carrier operational. If you wana talk incompetency.

    Your bias is showing.

Good questions. And yeah pilots have a ginormous huge blind spot anywhere underneath them for a very large area. You kinda have to look at things like this drone, plan what to do, then once the nose lifts you're pretty much blind after that.

    Nope...

The Russian pilot did exactly what he was trying to do, and the F-35 pilot was a dumbass who forgot to activate his landing aids : )

Really? The Russian pilot is "incompetent" because they "don't have an aircraft carrier"?!? Don't forget: The Russians don't have $30 TRILLION in debt, either.

The Russian took down our drone without firing a shot. The F-35 pilot took out his own aircraft.

The fact that you want to parrot MSM talking points, then accuse other of "bias" smacks of what the left calls "projection".

This is why I don't make fun of the deaths and failures of adversaries, because the same happens to us. The only difference is, we never defend our own border.

Indubitably. Besides America's somewhat recent gains in "air superiority" is basically true across the board now as far as aircrafts, but Russia seemed to have been fine with what they have for a wile and instead developed far superior AA weapons. Some are capable of ground launching and killings satellites even. Plus, in the past Russia not only had better pilots but better planes. So much so we resorted to kidnapping a few to study them, even a Hind helo once. There was a time when our pilots couldn't figure out how the Russians planes was finding at attacking them so easy, even if they was flying super high in clouds, or low in mountains etc. Turns out after we captured one of thier planes we found they had homing devices that beeped faster and faster till they found us. That was a huge leap in tech back then. Then another time we swore they had yet another similar tech because we couldn't figure out why we losing so many of our best pilots and planes. We moved heaven and earth to capture another plane, yet again. Turns put it was just as good if not slighter less good than our own. The Russians was just using advanced piloting techniques. So yeah while they may not have the best toys now they still have always been something we had our hands full keeping up with

Lol… hit hit the drone. He was not trying to do that.

Posting videos of a collision caused by ground control, the B-17/P-63 accident or some one fucking up a carrier landing, is telling of your disposition and has zero bearing on this incident. Those were mistakes, just as much as this collision was.

Flanker pilot is damn lucky it wasn’t worse.

That is not skill, it’s incompetence

still trying to distract from the topic. Moving to a personal insult. People like you are the problem.

The incompetent Russian Pilot hit the drone. Deal with it.

Yep... "still trying to distract from the topic."

I say: "Gotta love them trying to portray this as "incompetence" on the part of the Russian pilot."

You respond: "Russia doesn't even have aircraft carrier operational. If you wana talk incompetency. Your bias is showing."

Yep... some PROJECTION going on... definitely.

Just to illustrate how stupid you sound, imagine someone saying this:

"That cop was incompetent, because, while chasing the bank robber, he cracked a parking light on the perp's car while trying to box him in. The incompetent cop hit the perps car. Deal with it." : )

    Wow... LOLOLOL...

Using the B-17/P-63 incident shows your gross misunderstanding of what happened that day. Its layed out here. BTW, it was not pilot error. The Air Boss made a mistake put the aircraft in the wrong lanes for the air show. That is why the collision happened. It was not pilot error. I LOL because of your gross negligence of the subject. Its explained very well here.

And a Thunder Bird Pilot explaining his opinions on the Su-27/Drone Collision.

I have to laugh because your argument is so weak... Its funny to me. I don't expect you to Understand the humor

Idiots. like you are the problem. Its quit obvious to me you have no idea what you are talking about... but sure get butt Hurt over me pointing out the incompetence of that Russia pilot... LOL ( I am laughing at you )

Yeah, well, this country is being destroyed by idiots, so the least I can do is call them out when I see them. If you think a pilot in a supersonic fighter coming to within +/- 6 INCHES of a slow-flying drone that he was trying to take down is incompetent, then you're a straight-up dumbass. He didn't accidentally come that close, shithead.

LOOK: I get it. The left loved the Russians when they were under communism... remember Bernie's honeymoon? Now that Russia is (at least ostensibly) not communist, they can't stand it. But what really gets their goats is that Putin won't bend over for the gay agenda, and that's what's REALLY behind the "Putler" meltdown.

Slight disagree, the pilot is the one in the seat. Patterns be damned, im not gonna intentionally put my very tangible mass of steel and aluminum into the other mass of tangible steel and aluminum, to appease an abstract flight path that was predetermined by someone who screwed up. Stop Work Authority on that one.

    >putin wont bend over to gays

Okay, but why is he invading a sovereign nation, and why are conservatives, who formerly hated the soviets, now want to bend over backwards for them?

    Food for thought

    Bingo, bingo, BINGO!

The Air Boss was incompetent, but on a nice, sunny, VFR day, the pilot can blame NO ONE ELSE for where his aircraft goes, short of a mechanical failure. Only a leftist would think otherwise.

The point is this has nothing to do with what happened over the Black Sea. I see exactly what he is doing by mentioning it.
