I am letting go of the first center fire I ever owned, a Colt Trooper in .357 magnum. It has a 6" barrel. This is one of the old hand fitted revolvers that Colt made back in the "old days". The serial number look-up says that it was made in 1960. I am the original owner and I never fired it much. Shortly after buying it my preference moved to semi-autos and it has spent most of its life in the safe. This revolver is in pristine condition. The blueing is the Colt deep blue and there is no holster rub on any of the surfaces. Look closely and you can barely make out any turn marks on the cylinder. Also look closely at the wood hand grips. You will not see any nicks, dents or gouges in the wood anywhere. This is a collector piece. I truely have mixed feelings about selling this firearm so i am firm on my asking price.

I do not want to consider any trades. If you are seriously interested as a potential buyer I would be happy to meet with you and have you closely examine this revolver.

Buyer must be a Florida resident and legal to own a firearm. I will require a bill of sale.

Looking at the posted pictures it looks like the blueing is worn off in places. That is a reflection. The blueing is near perfect.

    Sold pending meet up.

To all those that responded, my apology for the delay in getting back to you. My daughter arrived yesterday from the west coast for a visit and I was otherwise occupied.

Mk III was not a thing until way after 1960. I’m sure it was the late 70s, but I could be wrong there. I have a Mk I that is a 1961 model, so yours is obviously not a 1960.

I fed the serial number into this:

    and 1960 came back.

Roaster's Gallery told me that Colt re-used serial numbers. Perhaps that's why 1960 came up.

OK you Colt gurus, resolve this. It looks like I have been called out for mis-representing my listing.

The serial number of my Colt Trooper is 22xxx. I went to the Proofhouse web site that Roasters Gallery recommended and accessed each sub-area where Trooper or Mark III was listed. The only reference was in the following section. That, appearently, is where the Colt website came up with the manufacture year of 1960.

You are the original owner… Did you buy it in 1960? I’m guessing no.
