Speed of the powder burning results in different recoil impulse. The heavier the charge the more different the recoil because besides the bullet being ejected, the weight of the powder is also moving down the barrel. Combine that with how YOU hold the firearm. Your grip can be different than mine.

Broke out my 44 Mag dies a few days ago only to find no shell holder. Ordered one and it was delivered yesterday so I was finally able to start depriming the brass I got from Daezee

Daezee posting about bullet casting has inspired me to dig out and start going through casting equipment I packed up 30 or more years ago. I didn’t remember having this many molds, I have a good many duplicates and several gang molds for pistol bullets. The good news is , I did a excellent job of preparing them for long term storage, as all of them are in good shape. My plan is to cast some heavy 30 and 35 caliber bullets for subsonic plinking loads.

If you find a duplicate Lyman 311284 (and are OK with selling or trading it), please keep me in mind. If you have a particular bullet sizing die diameter you need or top punch, I might have it. Do you need any 35 caliber gas checks? I have them along with 45 cal gas checks left unsold form the estate I was handling. I can fix you up with those caliber of gas checks at low prices.

Primed 200 pieces of 44 Mag brass with my hand primer after cleaning them last night. Tomorrow I hope to get started working up a load in .5 grain increments

Cast more bullets. Decided for this casting season instead of a specific number, I'd cast 1 50 cal ammo can of 303 bullets since I use so many of them, 1 30 cal ammo can each for 6.5mm, 30 cal, and 8mm. Undecided on how many of my big rolling block bullets to make. Finished my 30 cal can of 6.5mm today. Finished my 50 cal can of 303 a week ago.

Like to cast on sunny days in order to get the most benefit from the solar electric array.

Got my 9mm reloading started today. I'm planning on taking a friend to the range next weekend, and he wants to shoot 9mm. I opened up some Blue Bullets I had ordered last year and got everything set up. After getting my bullet seating set up correctly, I assembled 10 to try this week before I manufacture the rest - I have about 400 primed and ready to load.

Also got the blessing to start the ball rolling on a 22 suppressor - really looking forward to that. :)

Picked this up to try and see if I like it. PTR
That's one that my buddy wants to try out too. He liked my Vector pistol but is holding out for a real HK. He's a big HK freak and has a hard time believing it's built to the same quality. Are the PTR pistols also manufactured on the original surplus HK equipment PTR imported to America?

I know zip about these. If it shoots as good as it looks.... very, very well made. Fit and finish is outstanding. Have 6 mags, 2 HK, 2 unknown, unmarked? Round witness holes are slightly left compared to the hk mags, 2 ets clear. Read something about roller lockup? All my 9's prior to this have been blow back. What mags work best, assuming hk?

Worked with the 350 legend bolt action some more today.
the 180 grain Hornady XTP shows some potential, this ten shot group was shot at seventy yards from a rest. It’s running about 1050 FPS and is pretty quiet . The first round was low and to the left ,I fired four more rounds and stopped to eat lunch . After about a forty five minute break I fired five more rounds into the same target. That low and left first round happens fairly often, I’m baffled by it , and have no explanation other than human error. It doesn’t seem to happen unless the suppressor is removed and re installed . Anyone else ever had anything like that happen with a bolt action rifle?

Cold bbl, cold suppressor? Strange. Well you know where the cold bore shot is going to go.

Any kind of weight on the barrel definitely effects the barrel and point of impact. But I think this could be the shooter and shooting position. Only way to tell is by strapping it to a lead sled and removing the shooter from the equation and seeing if it then still shoots low and left that one time still

My Annie 22LR with a 16” barrel and sparrow suppressed is very temperature sensitive. It does the same thing on a cold bore.
