You sure about that? Any pics I've got of bears they've been tagged, examples below. View attachment 102688 View attachment 102689
Thanks for posting. That is a visual ear tag and with binoculars one can read the numbers. You might record those numbers and ask the FWC if they want the information or send them the pictures. looks like 5433 is a partial number for one of them.
I doubt that most bears are monitored electronically and likely many are not tagged
Those are tagged, but not monitored electronically according to the information posted by Duckyou.
    Those are some impressive pictures.
Next time people report bear sightings in pace, fl I will asked if the bears were tagged. so far no one is has reported seeing tags, but it could they were seen and no one said anything about them.

Yeah that was my introduction to the bear problem in the area South of Ebro. They destroyed that feeder and I learned quickly to get feeders up high off the ground and to stake the legs and tie them down so they can't knocked it over. No longer hunt there and don't have that problem where I hunt in MS. Odd thing about the area in MS, it's a lot of wet area with a big river and several creeks running through it and no hogs.

Do the bears go after the hogs is the question.

Below are theoretical calculations for facial recognition under a set of ideal highly optimistic conditions. If you have different calculations or see errors in what is below please comment.
Like they would tell you. How deep our subs can go is classified. How far our artillery shoots is classified. I'm sure what we the people paid for in orbit is forbidden too

Tried putting camera near dead hog, as something was moving them, but only got a couple of blurry pics of a dog.

As civilian there are things we will likely never know. Satellites ranging over the USA doing facial rec, the physics of optics says not likely. But if the recording devices could get closer yes. but to what end and use would facial rec of joe and jane doe do for them.
What is true is that many cities and I assume airports, toll entrances, and other places have some very good cameras that may be feeding into governmental networks. Just about every other house it seems has cameras going. What ever you send over the web can be looked at. Where ever you car goes and what you buy and when you buy is all recorded.

with 5G tags they could, but I doubt there will be many antennas in their habitat..the antennas do not have the range 4G has, so unless that is fixed 5G will be a bust except in higher density areas

I graduated in 1985. One of my jrotc instructors told us they had cameras I believe on the sr71 that could take a pic, while flying by, of you standing outside holding a pack if cigarettes, and be able to read the brand name of the label.

I had to look it up
the SR-71 operated at high speeds and altitudes (Mach 3.2 and 85,000 feet, 25,900 meters) to allow it to outrace threats. If a surface-to-air missile launch was detected, the standard evasive action was simply to accelerate and outfly the missile.[
The physics of being less than 26 kilometers away and getting a good picture compared satellite are very different.
    Low Earth orbit (LEO)
A low Earth orbit (LEO) is, as the name suggests, an orbit that is relatively close to Earth’s surface. It is normally at an altitude of less than 1000 km but could be as low as 160 km above Earth – which is low compared to other orbits, but still very far above Earth’s surface
    Geostationary orbit (GEO)
the speed of GEO satellites should be about 3 km per second at an altitude of 35 786 km.

Search. "Googles super satellite captures first image" and that is in the article
When reading such things, I try to get past the hype and look for the key data. What I saw from the search you suggested was 25 cm or a little under 10 inches for resolution. While astounding in what it can see, that will not read newspapers in red sq.
But maybe if I pay the $10 for a subs and give them my email, I might find out more.
A second satellite, GeoEye-2, slated to launch in 2011 or 2012, will have a resolution of 25 cm, company representatives promised. However, Google's satellite imagery will not likely get more detailed because of the 50-cm regulation.
    Further research revealed this lol.
