I might have a spare I could get up and running if you have fuel. I'd have to go through the carb and it would probably only power a fridge and some lights, but it's better than nothing. My cell is 850-261-0372. I'm behind the napa on 98. Call me if you lose power and need it.

Thanks! I have 2 small generators, but the natural gas 12kw would have been perfect for my in-laws house which is about 30 minutes Of us north and on high ground. It is our 1st retreat spot.

I’m in south Mobile, the tide was a good 2-3 feet higher than normal this morning.
I’ve spent the day getting things ready like building up a surf break in front of my shop

Damn that's a lot of shells. You commercial harvest them? Got em for sale? Been looking for a good deal on boxes for when the waters cools down some.

I’m a processor, I’m the sixth generation in my family to be a commercial fishermen. I keep shells stockpiled for hurricane season, I sold around 35 dump truck loads a few months back, I had them piled all over the landing. Don’t got anything for sale right now and it’ll probably be next week before harvesting gets back.

I built that building in ‘04 and had the walls poured solid, so pretty sure it’s my fallout come November. I’ve been praying for the same, I live in Coden at the water and they’re saying that’s where it’s coming.

    Well the 7am is in.
The good is that it is now a cat 1 and they do not expect it to strengthen and with luck it quickly becomes a tropical storm. The white tract. the UJMET, still project a significant jog to the east into okaloosa county

The predicted winds for pace are not too bad. The worst is wed AM. I will leave the antenna up because I need to see watch TV weather. Only channel 15 is working real well for me so far. I decided not to climb the roof to take the chimney cap off. A fall much worse than losing the cap. I will plywood the wind exposed door to help keep water out and not protect car as I have and trust that we do not get supper high winds.

The Local and State maintained (Lol) water retention/drain off ditches are completely full surrounding my block. I bought another $100 water pump to help reduce back yard flooding which encroaches toward my back door (house on slab). Can't use a big pump because it will drain the location and cavitate faster then runoff flows back in. The little pumps together, move about 2100 GPH and they couldn't keep up! I dug a trench from the back yard to a point near the top of the driveway. Trench is relieving the high level downpour volume while the pumps are keeping the rest in check (+ or -). Glad I'm not in the Flood Plain, Lol.

They got to one street below my street and turned around and went back to the UPS longleaf shipping and that is where I think my item is residing. I still have power and hope that does not change.

Had a NWS Tornado Warning, the jump into the shelter/closet type NOW! Called with Rotation 7 miles S/E and closing on my exact 20 @ 30 mph. Crap! I don't normally worry about these but when they said my Section of Beach it got my attention. So I'm hunkered down in the tub ... . . . .? Warning ends for me at 8:15pm but I don't trust them either way, so I stay put for an extra 30 minutes. NWS then replaced the Tornado Warning with: a Mariners Warning for "Water Spouts". Damn Wx guessers!

Damn, they just called another Tornado Warning with rotation at Tyndall AFB (9:48pm) Active till 10:30pm.

Thanks for reminding me. I need to open the door to my vault. I it is meant to be a make shift tornado shelter. My house should talk any hurricane, tornadoes are something else. Got small flashlight in my pocket in case the power goes out and one of my lamps is suppose to light up when the power goes off. I have a million candles and the dogs are snoring away happily. All but one window is shuttered so an air conditioner can pull a little moisture out of of the air.

Looks like Pace is going to hit. We will not know until the storm actually makes land fall.
The model are predicting land fall into escambia county and depending on the model a good chunk of santa rosa county.
My house id likely secure enough, but I did not do enough for things outside and the cars. I still have power, but that certainly can change. My TV reception is spotty, but I am on an antenna.
Models seem be more in agreement.

Lost power last night at 2000. Still out this AM. House getting warmer but not too bad ... so far.
Power companies will not send out crews in this wind so we just might be in for a long period without.
Looked around with thermal. No big limbs or trees down.
Got out my super bright light to shine on any and all vechicles cruising the neighborhood. My multi pocketed vest is loaded up with the essentials needed to confront suspicious doode's. Carbine in great room now. Three Glocks throughout the house.
Do not hear any generators yet.
Hope everyone is safe and stays that way. ---- SAWMAN
