My Stimulus Check is in the bank 04/13/2020

I'm not getting mine. States you had to file in 2018 and 2019 to get a check. It was pushed back to July 15th so I haven't filed yet. Been busy. I also pay in each year. Don't think it's fair that I'm within the law and currently not getting a check. I'm calling my tax lady tomorrow and see about filing and getting a check.

There are online ways to get it done without filing your taxes. Google it. Most online tax prep sites have something set up to get your info in the system just to get this check/money. At least I saw something like that. But I could be talking out my butt too.

I saw a link to that. The way I read it was for people who don't file at all or for people who make less than 12k a year. I could be wrong too. Hopefully I can get my tax lady on the phone.

Still not got mine but I spent today anyway. Getting old sucks, seems alot of friends younger than me are dying. I am refinancing my home, great rates...SO needed to update wills, Living wills,POA(laws changed) healthcare surrogates and getting a Life Estate so there will be no probate.

I hate Lawyers and what they charge but the guy was fair, I guess, so bit the bullet! In Crestview so wanted to stay close to do it all. Most by phone today at least until we see drafts. I suggest we all to be prepared for our spouses and kids, nothing worse than them getting screwed after you are gone...

OK,since I have not gotten my check I went to the website, it told me I was eligible but they did not have enough info to send the check..How is that possible, they send to my account SS every month and I paid what little I owed by check?

In due time you would get it Mark. The IRS added a place for folks in your category to add the Direct Deposit info if you wanted the money quicker. The info and link to do so are at:

If you did anything besides an easy file and refund direct deposited to your account in 2018 or 2019, there will be delays. The irs.gov/coronasvirus site has FAQs and you can click the get my payment option, input your info, and get a concrete answer more or less of what your situation is. It looks like this and provides the last four digit of the account it’s to deposit to. From what I’ve heard it is coming out in waves so check your status for next steps and hang tight. Also, don’t call your bank asking where it is. They don’t know. The IRS added that little tid bit as a cop out.

My dad seems to think that because his social security is direct deposit that he will get his check direct deposit. Don't think it works like that. His IRS is not tied to a bank. Told him he would have to wait for a paper check in the mail. Any input on this?
