    thats a lot of metal.

pff09...the doo-dad on the left side is a thumbrest. helps with location, helps steady under recoil, helps in pointing, but limits the classification you can run this pistol within during certain comps. Also looks like an oversize safety/decoker as well as a large magazine release. I'm sure you know what the magazine well on the bottom is and its function, but if not, it opens up the bottom of the magazine slot for quicker and easier reloads which generally necessitates extended magazine baseplates, which in turn adds capacity to magazines.

    that help?

You missed the internal oil pump that self lubricates the innards while while shooting. Disum hitek stuff

Thanks, guys. So far, I've added the factory FO front sight, DAA adjustable thumb rest, Henning Magwell and Eric Grauffel Xtreme grips. Yesterday I received a bunch of other goodies from Henning: flat trigger, conefit guide rod, taller and smaller OD front sight, XL firing pin and various springs that are tuned to run .40 S&W major. I also ordered four 140mm base pads w/ springs and followers, but the basepads don't seem to fit the mags. I've got an email and call into Henning to see what's going on, but I haven't heard back from him yet.

After installing the stuff I have on hand, I think the other other things I might do are install an EGW sear and hammer, depending on how the trigger feels after all the current parts are installed. Right now, it's a very crisp 3.5lbs from the factory and it ought to get a little lighter with the new springs and flat trigger system.

It feels like the thumb rest is going to be amazing. It's adjustable, so you can make it fit your hands. The extended safety and magazine release come factory on the gun. It also comes with a factory magwell (as seen in some of the previous photos), but the Henning magwell I installed last night is bigger.

I ran across an advertisement in Handgun magazine and was noticing some of those factory accessories such as the safety and mag release. Quite impressive offering. Sounds like you're gonna have an exquisite pistol once completed.

    Bought this pre model 10 S&W revolver. <img src="http://gulfcoastgunforum.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=32486"/>
My in laws found 6 revolvers similar to that in a house they live in, they were in brand new shape never shot, some had longer barrels. Beautiful guns.

Not sure if they were the same model but we looked them up on gunbroker and saw similar ones listed for $1500-$2k. Pretty awesome find.

Took apart the receiver to clean up an old Winchester 94 I bought off of here the other day. Need to order a new mag spring for it.

Tried to refinish the wood stock set on my AK but it turned out looking like crap!
I didn’t think polyurethane had a shelf life – damn stuff won’t cure.
Oh well, Arsenal makes a nice looking plastic stock. :mmph:

Just clean it off with a solvent and use oil.

Just installed a Wolff Performance Spring set (17lb hammer spring, lighter/heavier recoil spring, etc) and FDE grips, since I hate the E2 that came with my P226. SRT kit should come in later today. I heard it will increase overtravel, which I greatly dislike already in my stock sear, but we'll see what will happen.

Worse case, I'll just sell it and buy a Glock 17, then mod that out like I did to my 19.
