I worked night shift for about 2 years before I took a day job. Now I'm up between 0500-0600 and by the time I need to go to bed at 2200 I'm getting wired up like I have to go to work. With the night shift job it was normal to have a couple of 30 plus hour days per week and now I can't seem to get in any sync. I'd like to be more like you life experienced gentlemen (old farts)!

My dad worked shifts for years. One week 7-3:30, next 3-11 and the other 11-7. It never seemed to bother him and he says he loved it. I suspect some people are just more adaptable.

Have you tried Melatonin? Its over the counter. Wife's doc suggested it for her crazy sleep patterns and it works like a charm for her. I take one occasionally and sleep like a baby. No hangover either.
