    you cant hunt deer with anything under .50 cal black powder so it doesnt have much appeal and hurts the value

    FWIW, Muzzle loader rifles and handguns, over .40cal is legal in Alabama.(the op is shown to be in Alabama)

    I am in Florida I was stating what Florida rules are , glad that you let everyone in al. know , but if you come to Florida rules are different

    out of curosity I checked the Florida Fish and Wildlife site and found this, over .30 caliber is legal in Florida. I can’t believe this is right. I always considered .36 or smaller a squirrel gun.

    thats a change it was .50 for black powder now I can get my .36 cs sniper out and go to town

    Just curious, what do you think your odds are with that caliber? Ive never hunted with black powder and to be honest do not remember how i even obtained this pistol.

    I have a rifle the .36 served the armed forces of the confederate states of America very well , the lock on this rifle was made in England in 1863 the rifle is old but I had a friend who was knowledgeable on black powder go over it , so if I was to use it id say odds are 90% that if I decide to pull the trigger there will be meat on my table
