You are correct. Another cigar winner !! I had one too and they were a lot of fun. The "bazooka" version was even more powerful. Irritated a lot of kids with those things and of course a house of cards didn't stand a chance.
Multiple question: What, according to the series itself was Josh Randall's Mare's Leg chambered in? The internet is wrong by the series itself, what is the wrong cartridge? What model was used to create his unusual sidearm?

Yep, in an early episode about a stage coach way station, Josh, held prisoner, gives a young man a cartridge out of his belt and indicates the youngster should go get a rifle from a rack that the cartridge fits. The youngster returns with a Trap Door, he is intercepted by a bad guy whom says "you picked up a 45-70." That scene is the only place in the series that I recall the supposed chambering of the Mare' Leg to be IDed. But in reality it was a 92 in 44-40. Same 92 model of the Rifleman and John Wayne, the loop guns.
