My best advice is to make a Reddit account and post your pics on the "whatisthis/whatisthisthing" and or the "forgottenweapons" boards. People get all sorts of odd items identified that way now.
Be sure to add all the context possible too tho. Like where did you find it, who had it prior, state, markings of any sort, and whatever details you can think of.
I've seen some of the most random and obscure items identified there usually pretty fast.

It looks like a recessed firing pin in the center. It's got an extractor, and it's got an ejection pin

Tape measure will get you in the ballpark. If it's as large as it seems should be pretty easy

30mm or 1 1/4 inch it looks like at the opening.
