Went by Academy today and asked if they had a M1A.

The guy said it was in the safe ?

It was on hold for somebody.

He also said they had not picked it up yet.

I asked him if I could see it... No.

Then I asked him how long they would hold a rifle.

His words were they could only hold them for 24 hours.

I then asked him how long it had been in the safe...

He said two days ...

OPPS !!!

When I asked him if they could only hold them for 24 hours why had it been in there two days ...

After that he acted like he didn't want to talk to me any more...

I have bought a few guns from there but don't think I'll be doing busniess with them any more..

Whole thing sounded a little fishy to me.

Should have asked to speak to a manager... The hired help behind the counter is at best marginal.

There seems to be a shortage even on gunbroker. Plus you're bidding against the rest of the country. I was on there last night to list some M-1A mags and I was surprised how few there are. Good luck Johnny, I'm pulling for you.
