Would love either caliber in the 1895 Dark model but open to what I can get my hands on. Thanks

I have a Marlin 45-70 with what I believe is a 26" Octagonal Barrel I'm getting ready to put up for sale. Not sure on price yet, have to do some research but will pull gun out tonight and take some pics. I also will include whatever ammo I have since I won't need it anymore.

Good luck to you sir-I bowed out of the 444 and 450 market when I tracked prices on GB for a few weeks. Plus, I don't really need either of them.
    Or do I?????

A 338 ME is still trying to convince me, however.

I also have a 444 and decided I just don't need two big bruisers, selling to fund some pistol purchases!

Lever God Mic McPherson was real high on the .450 Marlin. I'd love to have one, but the .45-70 does anything I need and more, and then a .35 Rem and .480 Ruger put me over quota on big bore Marlin levers. Still, a .450 at the right price likely would come home.

    And, then the .338 ME....

Guess I'm not yet done with Marlin levers either.
