    Hello,
I'm looking for a complete lower for a 1911 in .45 cal (not exactly sure if it matters). This will be used for a dedicated .22 conversion. Not real particular about brand but I would like it to be in good condition. Im pretty impatient at times so if you have one please let me know ASAP! I'll likely order one soon but could use two.
    Thanks for reading!
    Steve

LOCAL ONLY please. Holy cow at the scammers! I thought that the first two were alot but it's up to four obvious scammers so far.

    be careful of scammers

I haven't received a reply email yet. I didn't look at the location before emailing, I probably wouldn't have emailed if I would have. I appreciate you taking the time to message!
    Thanks again,
    Steve

732 is a New Jersey area code , not a Dallas one

chrish20162017. Joins today to answer a WTB ad, his Dallas location does not match phone info below. 78+ views of his profile, maybe a lot of folks smelling something fishy. Lets not overlook the generic "I got one of those lying around, mail me" line used by scammers for every WTB item. Need to run his IP on infosniper and see where that originates from.

First try for me but I built a 45 out of one of the Caspian/Foster frames and it turned out pretty nice but carbon frame didn't like the cold blue at all. 100% frame but oversize rails and has to be fitted to your slide. Few different files, sand paper(mostly wrapped around file) and perm marker is all I used. It's tighter than any factory built Colt I've ever had. Alloy frame would be nice for a 22 1911.

That looks like a good way to go, the frames are inexpensive and look really good. My problem is that I wouldn't know where to start, what all to buy to complete the build etc. I can take them apart to clean then reassemble but that's all I'm comfortable doing.

    Lol

I know this is abit of an old thread that I found googling the email address from the earlier questionable post (other forum concerns as well) but you guys were spot on with 'concern' over the fake identity. This is the IP address (below) of the person of interest. Its not Texas or New Jersey. We have monitored this individual on other websites. Just an FYI to be careful when contacting people. The advice was great on this thread!!!:smile:

There are several military bases around, a lot of people don't switch their numbers. My phone number is in North Carolina area code, but I live in Fort Walton. I hope you all don't discriminate against area codes or I'm screwed lol

That's true, if you actually lived in the US. The guy in question showed his location as "Texas" and gave out a New Jersey phone number. Probable with that is he lives in Nigeria. That's not even close to either Texas or New jersey. Classic Scammer!!!
