Winning the language battle: "Common sense"

Protecting the Second Amendment:

One weapon being used to take away gun rights is the phrase "common sense". It can effectively reduce fear and objections as it carries with it the aura of being wise, thoughtful, effective and needed. It can be used to pacify our citizens when their rights are being stripped.

I suggest this tool be taken away by changing its meaning. It has been done with other words:

- Global warming was ridiculed to the point that it was altered to climate change
- Preppers became a negative term largely based upon a TV series
- Conspiracy theory is now used to discredit an idea

Can we do the same to "common sense"? Make the other side work harder by taking away the language tools they use to persuade.

I can see forums like this becoming, well, active with other topics than gun related discussions. I figure if ("IF") some of the lefts gun ideas become law, the ATF/Karens of the world will hang out at your local public range recording people coming and going. All in the effort for looking for that 200 dollar tax stamp for each rifle and magazine. This will be interesting to watch, I'll give you that...

My problem with the term “common sense” is that it assumes that since it’s “common”, every little person like Sussie Rottencrotch or RickyBobby has it From day one no matter what their social economic background. Dump the adjective and use the word “sense”. It’s not common. Some folks learn early, while others often struggle thier whole lives learning the life lessons you truly need. That’s a starting point imho. It could be looked at like other words that are oxymorons, like “good shit”, “jumbo shrimp”, “clearly confused”, “open secret”...you all hopefully get my point.

Supporters that lean right should refuse to parrot the words the left Marxist media use to describe events. For example "mostly peaceful protests". Does any one with a pea brain think the protests that are allowed to continue on the west coast are peaceful? They are riots carried out by rioters. And yet we use their descriptor because we think they won't understand what we're referring to unless we used their words. Nonsense, they know exactly what they're doing with the language and they are doing it purposefully. The biden family are crooks. All of them. Right down to a 31 year old niece that wasn't convicted of driving without a license and DUI for the second time. We must call them what they are. Does any one remember the scientists of note ted danson and al gore? Twenty years ago they were predicting an Ice Age. Of course the climate changes, duh. It's why we hang onto a weather man's every word. It warms, it cools, it cycles. I know there are many more terms the Marxist media have chosen to describe events. Every one can think of some. Alternative facts. That's a lie. isn't it? anita hill, christie basie ford, hillary, bill, yada, yada, yada. should be behind bars. These people have lead you to believe it's just another way of looking at the same information and coming to another conclusion. No it's not, that's whats known in the vernacular as a lie. My favorite, "undocumented immigrant." That's someone who has broken our laws to get here and continues their unlawful existence using the resources reserved for real USA citizens (education, food stamps, housing, welfare), right? Sooo. . . .in the English language, illegal is criminal.

"Gun Safety" is always about eliminating firearms, gun violence is always used to focus on the tool not the criminals who used the tool. If common sense was actually applied, all these efforts woul be properly directed at criminals and not lawful citizens. It's all bait and switch marketing to sell proposed laws and beat down opposition: "How dare they be against common sense gun safety and measures to stop gun violence? Same deceptions used in Ballot Measures up for Public Vote, you won't see a gun control proposal without them.

These tactics should scare the crap out of everyone. This has all happened before. They are all found in the communist manifesto. Yes, karl marxs, vladimire lenin, noam chromsky, leon trotski and others taught these methods of revolution and put into practice by castro, chaves, meduro, CCP, il. iatola. "Any dictator would admire the uniformity and obedience of the U.S. media." Noam Chromsky. "You cannot control your own population by force, but it can be distracted by consumption." Noam Chomsky. At least Germany came up with it's own form of totalitarianism, the nazi party. Control education. media, government, foster class and race warfare, eliminate history and the things that made a country what it is. Any of this ring a bell? No matter how one feels about Confederate monuments, they are our past and should never have been allowed to be taken down to appease a small, vocal, naive, and immature minority with revolution as it's end game.

Another one of my favorite terms the media twists to fit their agenda is "democratic socialist". There ain't no such animal. The term Is an oxymoron. Anyone look up socialist in the English dictionary? I say English because it's my first language and the one I use daily here in the USA. It's the language that everyone who lives in the USA should be fluent in. One of the biggest mistakes politicians made was to make available documents needed to be successful in the USA in many, many, many languages foreign to English. Why? It's done at taxpayer expense. A topic for another discussion. "(in Marxist theory) the stage following capitalism in the transition of a society to communism, characterized by the imperfect implementation of collectivist principles." Whoa, does that sound like what aoc, bernie sanders, ilhan omar, van jones, claim to be? Communism is flourishing right in plan sight. It's not hidden anymore like in the day of Joe McCarthy. No it's right out front and center. Communists are winning elections and hold prominent position in media, academia, school systems that brain wash the young, entertainment. All of the majors influencers of the day. If you don't vote them into office it's because you're racist. Yet another media term that has been distorted. If this trend is allowed to continue it will not end well for the greatest country the world has ever spawned. The Founding Fathers knew what they were fleeing from. They created documents that would ensure success within the Republic. Not another tirade.
