Give him a little time , he’ll figure out how to insult someone with out admitting he’s queer. I guess he was just bored and not thinking things through . But look on the bright side , he could of ask what’s the best caliber in a pistol ,9mm or 45acp. We haven’t hashed that one out lately. ;)

Wait...I only thought it was queer it you were on the receiving end? Oh no...

Publix window cleaner and then Hornady one shot.

No smell, stays relatively dry afterwards.

I need to find a good grease.

I use clp for everything. Not sure if I'm lazy or thrifty. Lol. Use it in the shop too
Fluid film is a nice tacky lube, but I have not used it on any firearm. It's similar to clp

CLP for my AR that I no longer have. REM oil leaves a residue over time. Brake cleaner on my molds only to remove oil before casting.

I mostly use Breakfree CLP but occasionally throw in some Hoppe’s #9 and Rem Oil.
I think Breakfree protects longer though.
3 buddies and I went in on a gallon of the stuff and we each got a quart for something like $20.

CLP... the USAF guys here on base just call it “gun oil“ and use it on the 105mm howitzer on the C-130J gunships also. They get it by the 55 gallon barrel and since that’s all we used in the Marines also, I still use it. Haven’t bought any in like 30+ yrs... also use some Rem-oil on the metal frame to slide mounts on my Glocks.

Seems like you could get a few ounces for your friends once in a while.

I used to use a combination of Ike and Tina Turners hair gel but had lead buildup. Now its hard to get the Ike gel so
as an alternative I use WD40 mixed with 888 lawn fertilizer. The acid in the fertilized breaks the lead down and the WD40 polishes the barrel.

When I retired I came home with a black gallon jug of Bresk Free CLP. I still have about a quart left.
Between that and a white spray can of VVL-800,that is about all we used. --- SAWMAN

When I saw the title, I was trying to remember - astro-glide, and just regular soap - then when I read the body of the post, I realized he was asking about guns. Eds Red, CLP, liquid wrench, etc. whatever the job calls for. Never WD 40 - none near my shop.

    Astroglide. THAT SHIT WORKS!
