Magnesium receivers will get you the same weight without having to poke holes all through your service rifle receivers. So you won't have to clean dirt and lint out of your tight tolerance rifle every other minute. If you try to tell me it's not a service rifle I'll believe you... then we can drop even more weight by losing the compensator, handguards and trigger guard, too

I know what I'm about to ask will hurt some feelings... everything I've heard and seen in the law for Florida for concealed carry says a concealed handgun needs a thumb snap or something like it. Per the law. Anybody else seen this? Has anybody else been in trouble for this? I have, twice. Once when going to buy a holster in a Florida cop shop and getting in a debate over it, and another time when I got pulled over by a deputy. But nothing came of it.

That screen shot looks like it’s 12-years old and referencing a proposed Open Carry Bill.

I’ve never heard/seen a requirement for a specific type of holster and training for concealed carry in Florida.

If that requirement is true, then I know for a fact that at least 11 people are not in compliance.

Never heard of a thumb snap requirement on a holster for concealed carry. Carrying a loaded firearm in a vehicle in Florida without a CCW might be what they are referring to. FSS 790 says carrying in a private conveyance, i.e. A car, says without a CCW the handgun must be “securely encased” and mentions a snap holster. There isn’t a thumb snap requirement for concealed carry. Hell, you don’t even need a holster for concealed carry, if you so desire
