What gun stuff did you do today?

Looked at getting a revolver today... I think I want a 6" S&W 686 in .357... something about them big wheel guns are sexy.

It actually is forged with the split... but you can see where the set screws failed, I don't think I torqued them down too much, just hand tight with an Allen wrench. 5 shots and the bolt didn't cycle. Put the gun on safe and the muzzle down and the gas block slid to the brake... cheap ass gas block.

Got ya, was it aluminum or steel? I heard of similar issues with after market aluminum gas blocks although my wife's rifle has 1 ( knock on wood ) it's proven to be a solid performer for $15

Been a long work week, but a pretty good gun week. I picked up a new handgun on Tuesday and I'm picking up another one today. I ordered 8K .224 pills yesterday (not all for me) and I might get a chance to go shooting this weekend. I'll have 3 new handguns that I haven't gotten to shoot yet.

G27. Didn't want to get back into 40 S&W but the price seems very attractive. I can always buy a Wolf conversion barrel to spit 9mm out of it or sell/trade it down the road..
