I decided I'm going to get one. I'd like to try a TRP.

TRP is a good one. Just be careful of the price NIB at a dealer, it can creep up into gently used DW or LB territory.

I've noticed... Buds price on the stainless is in the 12s. A local brick and mortar wanted 18... Got a buddy who may be able to order from RSR. The FBI model is listed in RSR but for that money I'd get a WC.

I picked up another Protector a few days before Christmas. Santa did bring me a Hornady safe, but I think I broke it.

congrats! good thing you broke the safe now and not when you critically need it to work haha.

nice pistol. try it before you buy it. I find the 20 lpi front strap checkering to be quite aggressive. I think it is made for gloved hands hence "Tactical Response Pistol". good luck!

I know of a gently used DW that will be for sale as soon as the replacement rear sight gets delivered.... :eyebrows:

Got a new Para Black Ops 14.45 for $599. Less than half of MSRP. Pretty accurate so far.

Well did anybody get a 1911 for Christmas? I wasn't expecting a 1911 for Christmas but came across a killer deal on a Nighthawk Custom. More than $1k off of MSRP. I said shut up and take my money!

It didn't happen if you don't show a pic...let's see that bad boy!

Yep, the locksmith had to drill it to get my 1911 out. I was like: "please don't hurt my precious". Lol. Not sure why or how it broke, but my wife is gonna laugh. Things that are not well made have a tendency to break around me or my kids. RapID safe: Neat concept, poor execution.

I ended up buying one on the 23rd from a forum member. Kind of an interesting springfield that I can't find too much info on.

It's a 4" barrel on an officer frame. Milspec sights... Made in Brazil...

It ain't pretty, and is getting dropped off to 1911junky for a cerakote job and some new parts from WC.

She'll make a fine shooter/truck gun by the end of it.

Im glad BCM ventures into the 1911 market. They are a good company with a solid reputation. Not a fan of the serrations though.

They look cool on the XTac, but they're not very grippy. I like aggressor checkering like on a TRP though.

I could live with the serrations but I'm not a fan of rails on a 1911.

The star along with the Xs, make it look a little too metal militia for me.
As far as co-branding, I'm not a fan, usually it dilutes either one or both brands, the Magpul M&P15 is kinda silly, it does generally work for Nighthawk though, and I'd love to get a hold of a Nighthawk or Wilson Vickers gun. I had one slip through my fingers recently. I'm a big Vickers fan, he is THE anti-Yaeger, I can't stand that Ed Hardy wearing, loudmouth, douche.

The Hackathorn Wilson is sweet too, aside from the short trigger, but that's an easy fix.
