Trying to figure out how to get CCI quiet (710 fps) to run in my 15-22P.

With the switchback 22 can. 8 inch barrel. It cycles but dosent cock the hammer. Wondering if I used a lighter hammer spring would it work??
Uses an AR type hammer spring. Don't know what weight though.
Or would changing or clipping the factory recoil spring be a better fix??
Would be fun if I could get it to run reliably.
CCI STANDARD runs 100% no problems.
*** CCI suppressor works too 970fps.

Try bending the legs (both) of the hammer spring to 45 degrees, polish the bolt and the ways to get rid of any coating residue, break any sharp edges on the mag feed lips, check the mag top to make sure it is not dragging on the bolt bottom, then go from there.

I'll try all of that. Thank you.

Interested to see if you can get them running smoothly, my mp5 .22 doesn’t like to feed them either which is suprising as it’s ran all other types of .22 that I’ve tried in it flawlessly

Those are barely more than 22cb. I got like 9" drop from my 10/22 at 100feet and it barely kicked the rounds out, definitely didn't cycle. I hope you figure it out...but I'd wager they're only going to work in bolt/breaks.

I know if you want that ammo to cycle in a 10/22, you need to get the Volquartsen aluminum alloy bolt.
The steel bolt is just too heavy no matter what springs you replace. You might see if there is a bolt like that for your for your S&W.

The pistol bolt is lighter than the rifle model. It almost works, cycles, kicks out the empty, loads just dosent cock the hammer. Also a lighter hammer spring may do it. I should have tried that. I have some, Same spring as the AR.
