    I've had this FM Hi Power for a few years and hated how the ring hammer bites the webbing on my hand. Since I had some extra time today I decided to correct that one thing I didn't like about it. I trimmed the ring and re-shaped the hammer to better suit me.

    Nope, it's actually a pretty common mod to the ring hammer for those who don't want to fit a spur hammer. All you do is cut is just before the cocking serrations and then again where the bottom of the ring meets the hammer body. then smooth, shape the cut areas and cold blue it. It takes about an 30 minutes +/- including dis-assembly and reassembly.

    You are just trimming the red area off the hammer.

    LOL, I didn't take a before pic so that was the best I could do. Ya' don't think Jeff Quinn was wearing nail polish back then do you? :pop2:
