Gene's Rebuilt the one in My 06 1500 a few years back.. Ya I wont let him do one again, I had problems the day after...They fixed it but the truck never seemed to shift right after about a year, Going upHill was a chore.. It would shimmey and I would usually have to drop it down to 3rd to straighten out.. But I do hear Hirst in Pensacola is good.. Or If roy is out your way,he might be able to get it and fix it for ya.
I am thanks guys, a bit more than I want to spend but Tony Bigot has a great rep and knows how to do it right, appreciate all the help guys, have an appt Tues to drop it off. Guess I am keeping the truck.
If there are no forum members that can help you out I'll throw out another recommendation for ya Frank. Scotty's in Santa Rosa Beach has always treated me right. Scotty and his wife Lena run it themselves.
You're welcome. Lena knows her stuff! She isn't just an administrative person she knows cars and knows the right questions to ask. When she takes a car in don't be surprised if she wants to come out and check out the issue herself. Good luck with your vehicle issues.
I only know about a couple "chain" stores out your way. Ive had good service at Pep Boys (my wifes car needed some high dollar, low profile tires) and I had bad service at Tuffys. Use to use Tuffys quite a bit until the last time they practically held my truck hostage for a couple hours for a free brake inspection that they offered while I was having some other work done.
