They made about 2500 Drilling rifles for Luftwaffe crews to carry in North Africa. The M-30

If you had a ME-109 you could store your k98 in a special spot in the fuselage.

I have one that looks just like that with intricate engraving that came home with my great uncle after WWII.

I saw one at a gun show in Washington state about 20 years ago. Extremely well-made. It was a thing of beauty. Unfortunately, I did not end up with it. Even then it was beyond my means

Same manufacturer of that M30 is now modern day Sig Sauer. My K98k is last year of JP Sauer & Sohn, 1944.

About ten years ago I handled one of these drillings for sale on Mobile Hwy, closer to W Street, at a small FFL that's now out of business. It was easily half price, and man I schemed every which way on how to get it and I still couldn't come anywhere close. But I did walk away with an SKS Paratrooper for only $300 from the same collection. The guy just needed the money
