On Friday the Texas House of Representatives voted 96-35 to allow residents with concealed-handgun licenses so that they could openly carry their guns in public but being kept in holsters. A similiar open-carry measure was passed by the Texas Senate the past month. These two open-carry bills will be squared before being sent to the Republican Gov. Greg Abbott who has already indicated his support for the two bills. So it is quite evident that the bills be approved.
