Does anyone have one? Are they really better than a blueprinted Rem. 700? I have never heard anything negative, but is it worth the extra money?

Yes and yes. However be aware that the difference between a surgeon and a SPS with good loads and a bit of tuning is imperceptible inside 600 yards. Unless you plan on a lot of really long shots save the cash.
