I sent the gun to Sig Sauer to see if they could repair the the threads, however they cannot do anything. I understand their position on liability. It appears Sig uses a proprietary thread pitch, 0.057 thread pitch 50 threads per inch. Cannot find a thread tap. Does anyone have any suggestions?

    What diameter is it?
Edit....did they chase the threads and it's just too far gone or didn't do anything?

You could try some blue (or red if you don’t plan on takin the grips off again) loctite if you don’t want to re thread it. Just a thought

Personally, I'd re-tap for the next size up and call it a day. Ask anyone who has dealt with Rem 700 scope mount holes ;)

That is probably the way I will go. The issue will be to find a correct length replacement screw.
FWIW, not sure they will have what you need, but Hall's Hardware up in Milton carries gun screws. In the back, and to your right, or just ask.
