No coffee in the house this morning, went out to Dunkin to get some and got a couple doughnuts for the fam. I got 2 large black coffees, almost $6, how the fuck do people get that shit everyday. Never been to Starbucks but isn't it even more expensive? I know some people go there like everyday, would be interesting to see how much regular goers spend a month. I'm too poor for all that haha

Coffee from places like that is crazy. On the rare occasion I get coffee from Starbucks it's just the brewed coffee, about $2. How people buy the $5-7 stuff everyday is nuts, that's almost a box of 9mm a day...

Just can't let that happen. Never run out of coffee, beer, ammo, or toilet paper.

DD does have decent coffee, but I drink too much of the stuff to be paying a premium.

Edit: That's also why I don't do the Keurig thing.

    Roll Tide!!!

All SEC fans can celebrate tonight. You will never have to hear Uncle Verne call another game. No more confusing player's names, and no more 'Verne Chortle.'

Yeah I noticed he was slipping pretty bad this year in his play-by-play, probably should have retired sooner. Gary had his hands full trying to gently correct him without embarrassing him.

98% of folks as they get older have a deterioration of mental acquity, it is a fact of aging. The trick is to recognized the aging effect yourself and walk away from the need to recall many facts in a rapid fashion. The tragedy is to know or be a care giver for a person with Alzheimer's or advanced dementia. A healthy person without a functioning mind is a terrible thing, they slowly degenerate into a Democrat.

At the Dr's office. Spent the last 2 days in bed with a heating pad, per the nurse practitioner's instructions, but the spasms aren't getting any better.

Thursday night and Friday morning were bad for my back. I couldn't walk across the house without hitting the ground from the spasms. I made the Dr's appt on my hands and knees in the middle of my living room Friday morning because that was the 3rd time I fell down trying to make it from my kitchen to bedroom.

The Dr confirmed muscle spasms (just like the nurse practitioner at work on Wed) and gave me some better/not expired muscle relaxers, a steroid shot (I'm severely allergic to over-the-counter anti-inflammatory medicine), and a steroid pack on Friday. I was finally able to get up and move around a little yesterday. Today is even better, but my back is still really tight. I can tell when a spasm tries to hit, but the muscle relaxer keeps it from seizing up like it was doing earlier in the week. I'm going to take it easy today and hopefully it will be almost as good as new by tomorrow. This is the worse episode of spasms I've ever had, by far. I'll get them from time to time (maybe once every year or two), but they typically go away within a day. I guess I need to strengthen my core to hopefully help prevent this in the future.

My only advice is rest and don't push things too quickly. Speaking from experience, that first day when you're thinking maybe you can go back to work, stay in bed. Rushing back into things and trying to "walk it off" will make it twice as bad.

That sucks TennJeep, back issues are a scary thing, hopefully you can get it under control.

Too bad pot isn't legal here yet, that would probably work wonders for your healing. I hate taking pills, Motrin is about my limit.

If all personal preferences are kept out of this, State legalization does not shield a person from Fed Law. Feds state pot use via Rx or for recreation WILL make you a firearms restricted person. New Form 4473 clearly addresses and defines it.
