Stainless Barrel Finish

I tried searching through the forum for an answer to this but may have overlooked it. I have a few spots (not major) on the end of my stainless 700 Remington and wanted to polish it out. What would be the best materials and technique to use? Thanks, I didn't want to screw up the gun I love.
