I STRONGLY disagree. That can go in another section for opinions or product reviews. It is the responsibility of the buyer to research anything they may buy and it's not appropriate for members to post their negative experiences on a for sale thread and basically take a dump on it for potential buyers. If it's favorable, perhaps - but still that's subjective and belongs somewhere else, not on a FOR SALE THREAD. That is exactly the type of thing that cultivates problems and brings out the douches.

Love the forum, love you guys, yes I got the email and yes I think it is a little premature to stop people from responding on the public forum. Yes I have been guilty of bring a smartass to some folks. I'm sorry and I won't do it again. I realize that this forum is growing and it is a tedious task editing everyone's idiotic comments, however it is also gonna turn the classified section into a silent auction. If you are gonna post something for sale then place it up with your reserve on it and let the silent bidding began... This is a poor decision at best. If it is getting to be more than one can handle to moderate the forums the appoint another moderator to screen post, warn myself, and the other assholes that post unneeded post and move on. If they continue to derail for sale threads then put the on restriction for a couple of weeks "like I'm currently serving on PFF" I made a comment in their that was way out of line after I had been warned and they blocked my account for two weeks.

With the current format that is being required you are making it where sellers can sell to whom they want to, and that is gonna be people that bid the highest. It is unfair to everyone for one asshole to ruin it for everyone. I said that I made some smart remarks to some and I will be the first to take a suspension if I'm the straw that broke the camels back. Like I said before I love this forum, and hope I can help people on here learn about guns, and shooting but if this is gonna be a silent auction then I will deffinatly be spending time on other forums looking for a deal. I used to love PFF til Chris sold the site to the liberal assholes and I stopped fishing. I did continue to monitor PFF and I think we all know what happened when they started their restructuring process. Please mods: A. G

Bean Counter, This is what the Admins were doing. Simply "cleaning up" the threads. The culprits were so dumb(or simply couldn't help themselves)that they didn't take the hint. I do not want to have to continuously check my for sale thread. To me this would give the bafoons another reason to trash the thread knowing the only consequences would be to get their post erased. Especially after no telling how many people have seen it.

IMO,the simplest way to make this stuff quit happening is to start giving an individual a warning,a ban for "X" amount of days,then finally gone for good. To me the stoooopid ones deserve no better. This forum is already starting to get a PFF'ish label. I like this forum. I want to be on this forum. I left PFF for lots more reasons than not being able to sell guns. I am hoping that this forum comes thru this and the Admins realize that some will "push the envelope". If everybody likes the Admin and mods,they aren't doing their job. Weed out the asshats and send them on their way. To me.......easy. --- SAWMAN

I think this is the second time that I have agreed with what you have had to say. We all have our formed opinions on most members. Many of us have known each other for several years from dealings in the past, or simple web postings. Yes I am a smartass yes I like to point out the stupid statements that others make, and on the same token I fully expect to get my balls busted if I say something stupid or try to sell a pinto at corvette prices. If you don't like the way I am you have two options. Leave your feelings in your wife's purse, or send me a pm and warn me not to be such a smartass, then suspend me, then ban me if I can't take the hint. That should be the rules.

Also folks that know me well will tell you that I'm no keyboard cowboy, I will cuss you out in Sunday school if it is warranted.....

Hey MULLET HUNTER,I have read your post #46 several times. Have you read my post #17. Don't you understand that it was YOU that I was talking about. I understand how you got banned over on PFF. Actually I was in favor of banning you over here also. However I do not run this forum. If I did, as unknowingly,unbashfull,and arrogant as you are in your post #46, you would be gone NOW.

I am not privy to any more info than the rest of the forum members have,however I greatly suspect that the action that was taken by the Admin guys was directly due to your action and a small band of followers. This is just a guess on my part but to me....it's common sense.

I appreciate Mullet Hunter taking ownership for his actions. That said, this problem is limited to a handful of like-minded people who have not stepped up to take responsibility. Perhaps I'm jaded by my occupation, but this is not the arena to affect change and this behavior will continue-by his own admission, Mullet was warned on another forum and now suspended for another infraction. I'm not suggesting Mullet or the other few are bad people, communists or homosexuals. I am stating that there are a few people who feel compelled to vocalize their opinions and make everything 'their business' and ultimately, thrive on the 'shock value' of their comments and find self-stimulation and satisfaction in doing so.


If a guy is charging Corvette prices, it is not anyone's responsibility to make a comment and inform us and it is always inappropriate when one member impedes the ability of another member to sell something.

The rabbit hole usually goes pretty deep with this type of behavior and commonly is accompanied by severe conduct disorders, depression, substance abuse,etc, so hoping this rule will change people is like pulling on a ball of thread. ADMIN =I fully support suspensions and banning for anyone who can't be a decent human being on here as this isn't going away, I'll bet my wiener on that.

Being newer to the game than most on here I totally agree with Daezee's point below:

An unfortunate consequence will be that others won't be able to see some the trade offers that others are replying with. Example: person X replies, "Would you consider an XYZ rifle for partial trade?". The OP replies, "No thank you." Someone else reading the tread that would be interested in the XYZ rifle could the PM the XYZ owner that he is interested in the XYZ rifle. A win-win. Oh well....

Stanley, you can still have fellowship and good times, but not everyone is wired like you and enjoys offensiveness. Not everyone subscribes to the belief that a 'real man' has to insult other men and that is what defines his masculinity.
