Hello everyone! I am new to the area and forum. I am from Texas and a big proponent of 2a. I am already teaching my kid general safety as well a gun safety. I would like to start him shooting my 10-22. Are there any ranges around Pensacola area that allow 6 yo accompanied by a parent?
    Thanks in advance,
    Joe

I don't know the answer, but I think somewhere on this forum is a list of near-by ranges. Be patient...someone will see your question soon and will reply. Kudos to you for taking an active part in your son's education and training.

Again no answer, I own acreage in AL, we just shoot in the yard. You could too with a Red Rider, teach the same skills and safety until you find a place. My son started about the same age, and now my grandsons too, I gave 2 their 1st .22s this past Christmas!
    Good luck and welcome!

If you can't find a range that will allow him to shoot, airsoft and bb/pellet guns are a fantastic backyard training tool for kids. That is how I started my son. He's 10 now and we shoot on private land when we go, so I'm not sure what the standard policy is for commercial ranges.
