I know a lot of you guys have extensively modified !0/22's. I am looking to do the same and would like opinions on aftermarket stocks.
I'm looking for a AR type platform with options, and I've been doing some research but not sure because I'm not familiar with some of the stocks available. I would like opinions If anyone has any experience good or bad.
Price range around $100.00 or possibly higher.
Also, pics of your build would be fun to see!
    Thanks guys,
    Jerry

I know you said you are looking for an ar style platform but I thought I would throw this at you. It is the AdTac M4 Adaptive Tactical Stock made by Lyman if I was in the mood for another build I would be going with this. www.lymanproducts.com

I saw that one and I am interested. Only thing is I haven't seen one in person or used one. It does offer a lot of options though.
    Thanks for the reply.

Pro Mag Marauder kit, SS barrel and a few extra goodies. It's a blast to shoot and not too expensive, around $140 for the kit.

Personally would not go the m4 route with a 10 /22, for same or less money the S&W version beats it all over the place. There are lots better builds for the 10/22 that will at least help recoupe some of the money invested. For some reason most of the 10/22 "tactical" add ons don't seem to cut it on quality and when you add it all up some get a little costly, for around the 100 range the marauder is prob the better of the bunch. Some of the kits that look very nice will add on up to around 300-400 range. Just google 10/22 stocks and you will get an eyefull of choices, and some very cool custom jobs. I am waiting for the Barret build!

I agree with TraderDan about the cost of a quality aftermarkets being to expensive for a 10/22 build. And the less expensive stocks just don't seem to be the quality I want. I went into this bass ackwards but I'm having fun anyway. By the time I put this together with the furniture, trigger, bolt, and hang everything on it I am looking at way more than I could ever get out of it.
But its gonna be a nice squirrel gun.
