Redx arms and palmetto state armory

This is my first build. I haven't fired a round yet but I'm headed to the range later today.

I really wanted to give a shout out for Redx arms and palmetto state. I ordered a bolt carrier group from palmetto on Friday sept. 7th and received it yesterday.

I ordered the pistol upper from Redx on Friday September 13th for $290 and received it today.

From everything I had heard I expected to wait several weeks on both.

Looks great! Be careful and don't touch that gas block after you've fired a few rounds. It will burn your fingers in a heartbeat.

It certainly is! That handguard might get hot as well. I've got a vented quad rail on my pistol and it starts getting pretty hot after 15-20 rounds.

If you have any trouble with reliability, let me know. I ran into a couple issues with mine when I first built it, but they were pretty easy to fix.

That was the direction I went. It's hard to tell, but the quad rail is vented.:

Then I switched out the AFG for hand stops. I think I like them better.

Agreed. And I've been told that they make a hell of a fireball.

I was thinking the same thing. I saw, one as you described sans the angled foregrip, on their sight but they aren't in stock. Maybe they will be by the time I have funds to build.

7.5" barrel , I may change to the quadrail later for some reason I just like this look. Changing just means more toys

It shoots great, I shot 2 full mags through it with no issues
