What's truly disturbing about this, is he used his position as a firearms instructor and trainer to do this to an underaged female student. I've read the victims statement and it's truly disgusting.

I'm not trying to defend a monster here, but I think it's fair to say we should try our best to remain objective and unbiased until the truth comes out in court. Souder may very well be a monster but until the truth is revealed he is innocent until proven guilty and has the right to a fair trial. Pedophiles are absolute scum but we have rights in this country.

If you can post details or facts, I'd love to hear them. I've heard a few different things from both sides, but I haven't had a chance to read the arrest report or the victim statement.

I was looking for it too, I'd be lying if I said I'm not being nosy about this because it's going to have a big impact in the area for a while.
I'd also like to reiterate that I'm not defending the man, but I am waiting for more information before I make my own personal judgement.
There's been many occasions where an influential and trusted man abused the trust placed in him by the community, but there's also been occasions where people have tried to attack individuals in similar ways.

He was also charged, with possession of child porn, I guess that could be just an accusation as well, just a story and the pictures don't really exist. I thought, in order to be charged with that, Law Enforcement would have to find proof first and the DA would have to approve charges. I could be wrong.

I do know that the officers had probable cause and likely seized all electronic devices. With probable cause the officers would be looking for anything that could potentially be child porn including legal media. If the victim was 12-16 at the time the cops would be looking for anything that may depict a potentially 16-year-old victim, I've met many adult females that I thought were younger than they were.
The charges are in but nothing has been proven so how can we say he was in possession of child porn? Unless we can prove it, everything is speculation.
I haven't seen anything, I haven't had a chance to read the arrest report, so I do not feel comfortable passing judgement at this time.

I was under the impression that you can't be charged with Possession of child porn unless it was secured when the warrant was served. Then the felony charges would need to be approved by the DA, by looking at the evidence collected. AGAIN, I could be wrong. I am only posting what is a matter of public record on the jail view web site and what he is charged with. Innocent until proven guilty is what our justice system is built on and I'm not disputing that. The future will tell
