Who here has experience with choosing a reasonable priced (approx. 600.00) camera security system. Here is the catch, I want to run one camera out to a gate approximately 130 yards, another one behind the house approximately 100 yards and two right outside overlooking the house.

From what I read CAT 5 is capable for these distances. I have zero experience with this stuff and would welcome any suggestions.

I would like to be able to monitor all 4 cameras at once or select one, two or three cameras.

I guess I would need a DVR, cameras (day/night) monitor?

Any links to a good system would be helpful.

    Thanks

GE makes some good stuff. That's what I used when I built my house. Color and IR. The IR looks just like a black and white TV. Run your cameras into a 4 port DVR then run the PC output of the DVR to the PC input on your TV. That way you can just change modes with your remote anytime you want to see outside. GE may have sold that line to someone else now but your local Graybar dealer should be able to help you. That is where I got my stuff from.
